My friends told me today that im not "emo" becuz i do not cut, last time i checked emo and goth were two COMPLETELY DIFFRENT things. I dont dress in all black or wear cblack lipstick and i have no idea about the culture, so am just as emo if i do not slit my wrists? I'm not happy all the time tho i am sometimes i can be pretty emotional in general but i wouldnt hurt myself becuz i dont think that makes issues any better

emo is also a genre of music! it's also how you feel and everything. i don't cut my wrists and i never ever plan to but i would consider myself emo. don't listen to what someone else says because if you feel that you are emo (feel! because emo is about emotion!! oh and music and some other stuff... but you get me) then you're emo!
don't worry about what they think.
also if they want you to cut then there not really very good friends in my opinion.

i dont mind as long as shes not mocking us, and no it doesnt make you less emo, im just saying most r into that stuff, some of it im not into either, but she just doesnt seem to possess any quality at all of being emo, but idc as long as shes not mocking us

it is a label that others put on you because they dont understand you
and it doesnt matter if you cut or not

doesnt mean you dont have trouble in your past in which you regret
or have been hurt
that is wat emo is
emo is nothing to be praised about
emo is a symbol of your upbringing and how at least once or many times
wat you tried to build up was destroyed
for no apparent reason
