im not emo or anything but i just want to understand so do u people rly hate life or people do u rly hurt yourself and stuff or r u in a way just like us do u do normal stuff like go to the zoo r u still like religous like lutheran or catholic or u just atheist im serious plz answer

I think she is being sarcastic lol. Not sure. You should read the info about emo and how its a subculture. Depression is an illness. Emo is not. I do not self harm and honestly I am extremely happy person. Everyone has their good and bad days and its ignorant to think otherwise. Emo embraces emotion of all forms. Otherwise it would be called Dep(ression) not Emo(tional) or Emo(core) but that refers to music. Ever listen to Dashboatrd Confessional or The Rites of Spring? Perfect examples of emo but they dont hate the world, themselves, or hurt themselves. I love the world although I think it's messed up. I love myself. My friends. My family. I go to the zoo and go to the movies and the mall and shop. I get funny looks but who cares? I like my music, i like my clothes, I like my all blue room lol. I'm just me and everyone here is themselves. Atleast they should be trying to be, Faking is stupid. Because we aren't any different other then we are more sensative, more in touch with art, follow a subculture, and typically the basics of the way to dress. Hope this helped <3

i don't hate life, only aspects of it. although it has nothing to do with being emo, i have previously cut. i do not go to the zoo, but that, too, has nothing to do with emo. as for religion, i am completely dedicated to the church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (look it up).

I dnt hate the world jus most ppl and myself im an atheist aftr going through my shitty life and evrythng i go through there is no god and the book is bullshit. Emos do normal things too.
We aren't depressed and suicidal and self harming all the time, you know.

Me too :/ They think all we do is wear black, put on eyeliner, cut, listen to scream-y/sad music, and sit in dark rooms and cry all day. None of that's true. I go outside alot, go out into public places, and laugh alot and such.

People suck sometimes. Emos are amazing and special and we're not afraid to be ourselves. And they really do make it worse. It's a shame they're so immature that they judge people by their appearance. It would seriously suck to conform to society and the mainstream.

Well I don't hate life but I do cut. Not all emos do though. We can still be happy at times. Umm.. I go to the zoo, I love the zoo! And My religion is roman catholic. So ya.
