YYYEEEAAAHHHHH!!!!
I hate pop. It's so sweet, cute and cuddy. It makes me puke. If the world hates emo, then I believe emo kids hate pop.

Britney Spears.
Just that one name... she's the epitome of pop, and the worst thing that ever dawned on mankind. Before her fame and blunders, pop was generally a-ok for us rock fans. But lo and behold, she turned pop into pink candy. It was awful! I think it was Britney who widened the gap between pop and rock.

Hey, I think it's unfair to lash at pop like that. After all, POP is short for "popular", which is basically the main objective of musicians (including emo and screamo bands). Who doesn't want to be popular? That's the big irony here: if the screamo band becomes popular, then it becomes part of the pop genre. Weird, huh?

Yeah, I agree with under_pressure. I don't have anything against pop music, too. I listen to it, as long as it's not from Britney! I have a Michael Jackson collection and I love Rihanna's recent songs.

I personally dont like pop music either, but i dont hate it and there is a few pop songs that i like. I agree with under_pressure, I dont think we should lash out at it.

Pop? Hah! I'd rather listen to my neighbor's insane pet chihuahua yelping. The closest music genre to pop that I like is techno. Although it's methodic and dance-worthy, techno has a sense of unpredictability that brings it to a higher level than pop.
Of course, rock is still the best!!!

Can't say I like pop. That stuff is... to put it nicely... utter crap! I mean, WTF is up with Britney Spear, Maddona, and all that other junk. No talent at all in pop other than some lame dance moves. Bah. Not my thing. Give me REAL music.

some pop music is moderetly good. I hate most of it, but you have to remember that pop stands for popular, therefor there is some good bands- my chemical romance, panic at the disco, fall out boy!
