I'm not sure if there are posters here who share my music preference, but I hope I find some. I just simply adore GRUNGE music. I think it all started with Nirvana and Pearl Jam back in the 90's, and they revolutionized grunge music for everyone to love.
So tell me, what are your favorite grunge songs / bands / albums? C'mon people, let's tell them!

I guess no one will disagree with me that NIRVANA is the perfect example of a grunge band. It's sad, though, that Kurt Cobain's emo-like thoughts drove him to end his life. But suicide aside, the band's songs are timeless and classic, although I still cannot understand some of them.

I wasn't really a big fan of grunge music, but I'll have to give props to Alice in Chains for dishing out their breakthrough single "Heaven Beside You". It's a shame that it didn't really become a hit. But it had some kickass lyrics!

i also love Nirvana, and im the same as you bruised_spirit, i still cant understand some of their songs either. One of my other favourite grunge bands would have to be smashing pumpkins. my favourite song of theirs would probably be "Bullet with butterfly wings".  the world is a vampire....

Where are the real grunge enthusiasts!? You don't have to understand the music. You just have to appreciate it, feel it, let it enter your soul. Just listen and make their music dig your senses. Here are my top grunge groups. Learn from them!

nirvana have got to be the best, as well as really the group that popularised the genre <3 also like smashing pumpkins, hole, pearl jam, silverchair, etc. but nirvana are closest to my heart n_n
