Hey y'all! If you're a fan of girl rockers or rock bands fronted by women, then this thread is for us! Let's dish out our fave rocker chicks and keep feminism in the music scene alive....

Many female acts have affected me in different ways, but not as close as t.A.T.u. The duo of Lena Katina and Julia Volkova have led to the revolution of how women are being treated in modern society. They're fresh and young, but their songs reflect something deep and socially-driven. They're a political statement on their own. I love them so much!

I'm sure some of you have been inspired by other female rockers, so feel free to discuss them here.

I'm not a female, but I am a big fan of female rockers. I remember the time when names like Sarah McLachlan, Fiona Apple and Dolores O'Riordan (of The Cranberries) were hitting it big. But I guess no one can top the fame and fortune of Alanis Morissette back in the late 90's. Her songs exude a lot of emotions, which makes me wonder if she can be considered an EMO! It's a shame, though, that she's not active in the business anymore.

Well, believe it or not (and I don't think she qualifies as a rocker... even though she's been on many a rock album) I've always dug Candice Night from Blackmore's Night. She had various parts on Stranger In Us All, which is the best (IMO) and most underrated Rainbow album of all time. She's been in Ariana, Avantasia, and Helloween albums (to name a few). Yeah, not quite "emo", but my musical taste does move around a bit.

Oh, and let us not forget Lita Ford from the 80's and that chick from Warlord (you know.. We Are All, All We Are We Are, We Are All... All We Are!).

I'm a girl, but I'm not very fond of female bands. I used to like the Eisley, but I haven't seen them much lately. I think their songs 'Telescope Eyes' and 'Invasion' are fine, but still not good enough for me to add it in my playlist. I prefer male bands since they exude more power with their songs.

Yeah, right. Well... ok, I give you that SOME girls are like that but they're few and far between. Maybe it's not your thing, but girls and music kick ass!!! Obviously you can't appreciate that.
